Curator's note
Seventeen years after the split, both men in one frame again, arms across each other's shoulders. Nothing in the archive explains how the evening was arranged; the file simply exists, dated and flash-lit.
The gallery walls behind them are hung and the room is full. This is not a studio document — it is the first evidence that the working relationship had become a friendship again.
Every restoration decision made from 2016 onward depends on this night. Without it there is no shared authority over the tapes, and no consent to release them.
